FAQs

Everything you need to know about your Sahaava piece is below. If you need something more, we're always at care@sahaava.com.

1. Our Jewellery

What materials does Sahaava use?

Sahaava crafts jewellery in three precious metal tiers, each chosen for its beauty, longevity, and wearability:

  • 925 sterling silver — hypoallergenic, in-stock, and ready to ship
  • Solid gold — available in 9K, 14K, and 18K in yellow, white, and rose gold, in stock and made to order
  • Platinum (950) — the rarest and most enduring metal in fine jewellery, in stock and made to order

Tell me about platinum — why is it considered the finest metal?

Platinum is widely regarded as the pinnacle of fine jewellery metals. It is one of the rarest naturally occurring elements on earth, far rarer than gold. Its natural white colour never fades or tarnishes and, unlike white gold, requires no replating over time. Platinum's exceptional density gives it a satisfying, substantial weight against the skin — a quiet marker of quality that needs no introduction. It is also the most hypoallergenic of all jewellery metals, making it ideal for even the most sensitive skin. All Sahaava platinum pieces are crafted in 950 platinum — 95% pure, the international standard for fine jewellery.

What is the difference between your gold options?

Sahaava offers solid gold in three karats, each suited to different priorities:

  • 9K gold — 37.5% pure gold, alloyed for exceptional everyday durability. The most resilient option for active wearers.
  • 14K gold — 58.5% pure gold, the global benchmark for fine jewellery. An excellent balance of durability, richness, and value.
  • 18K gold — 75% pure gold, prized for its deep, warm colour and luxurious feel. The preferred choice for heirloom-level pieces.

All Sahaava gold pieces are solid gold — never plated, never filled. Karat and colour are listed clearly on each product page.

Which metal is best for sensitive skin?

In order of hypoallergenic suitability: platinum is the gold standard — pure, dense, and free of reactive alloys. Sterling silver (925) is nickel-free and well-suited to sensitive skin. Solid gold at 14K and above is also generally very well-tolerated. If you have a known metal sensitivity, we recommend platinum or silver first and are happy to advise — just email us at care@sahaava.com before ordering.

What is the difference between natural and lab-grown diamonds?

Natural diamonds form over billions of years beneath the earth. Lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled environments that replicate those exact conditions — they are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. The differences lie in origin, environmental footprint, and price. Sahaava offers both, clearly labelled on every product page, so you can choose in alignment with your values and budget.

Are your diamonds certified?

Yes. All Sahaava diamonds — natural and lab-grown — are accompanied by certification from a recognised grading laboratory (GIA or IGI). Certification details are available on request for individual pieces.

What gemstones does Sahaava use?

Sahaava works with a curated selection of ethically sourced gemstones including sapphires, white topaz, zircon, druzy stones, and more — both natural and lab-created depending on the collection. Every product page specifies the gemstone type and origin clearly.

How do I care for my Sahaava jewellery?

General principles for all pieces:

  • Store in a soft pouch or jewellery box, away from direct sunlight and humidity
  • Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, hairsprays, and chlorinated water
  • Remove before swimming, exercising, or sleeping
  • Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing

Detailed care instructions are included with every order. For our full Care Guide, visit sahaava.com or sahaava.com.au.

Do you offer engraving or personalisation?

Selected pieces support personalisation — where available, this option appears on the product page. For custom or bespoke enquiries including personalised gold or platinum designs, reach us at care@sahaava.com and we'll explore what's possible.

2. Sustainability & Ethics

How does Sahaava approach sustainability?

Sustainability is embedded in how we build Sahaava — not treated as a footnote. Our manufacturing partners have received sustainability leadership recognition for their practices across production, sourcing, and supply chain management. We hold ourselves and our partners to the same standard.

How are your gemstones sourced?

All gemstones used in Sahaava pieces — including diamonds, sapphires, white topaz, zircon, and druzy stones — are ethically and sustainably sourced through verified supply chains. Sourcing details for specific pieces are available on request.

Do you offer lab-grown diamonds as a sustainable choice?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds carry a significantly lower environmental footprint than mined diamonds and are offered proudly alongside natural stones in our collection. Both are clearly labelled. Our lab-grown diamonds meet the same grading standards (GIA/IGI) as natural stones — there is no compromise on quality.

Is your packaging sustainable?

We are committed to making our packaging as minimal and low-waste as possible. Every packaging decision is guided by our broader commitment to being a brand that lasts — in every sense. We'll share updates as we continue to evolve this.

3. Sizing

How do I find my ring size?

We have a dedicated ring size guide on our website at sahaava.com and sahaava.com.au, covering how to measure at home and how our sizes correspond to US and Australian standards. The guide is also linked directly on each ring product page. When in doubt, we recommend visiting a local jewellery for the most precise measurement.

What if my ring doesn't fit?

We offer exchanges on unworn, unaltered pieces within 14 days of delivery. If you're between sizes or unsure, email us at care@sahaava.com before ordering — we're happy to help you choose the best fit.

Do you offer ring resizing?

Resizing may be available for select pieces depending on design and metal type. Contact us at care@sahaava.com with your order number and we'll advise on what's possible. Note: resizing undertaken by a third-party jewellery will void your Sahaava warranty — we always recommend coming back to us first.

4. Orders & Payments

What currencies do you accept?

We accept USD for US orders and AUD for Australian orders. Your currency is automatically detected at checkout based on your region, or you can manually select it at the top of sahaava.com or sahaava.com.au.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Afterpay. Afterpay allows you to split your purchase into four interest-free fortnightly payments, available to eligible customers in Australia and the United States. All transactions are encrypted and processed securely.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

Orders can be modified or cancelled within 2 hours of placement. After this window, silver orders enter fulfilment and gold or platinum orders enter production — changes may not be possible. Contact us immediately at care@sahaava.com if you need to make a change.

Will I receive an order confirmation?

Yes. A confirmation email with your order number and summary is sent immediately after purchase. Please check your spam folder if you don't receive it within 10 minutes.
